The Challenge
Prior to our work together, the leadership team at All Star Tennis were navigating a number of people-related challenges. These included unclear internal structure, inconsistent communication, evolving company direction, and a need for individual leaders to find focus in their own roles. As the organisation grew and responsibilities shifted, they recognised a need for deeper alignment and personal clarity.
The Approach
Strength in People delivered a phased coaching and development partnership. This included 1:1 coaching for members of the leadership and management team, as well as team sessions designed to bring the team together and help them collaborate and perform more effectively through their understanding of their own and each other’s strengths.
Using the Strength In People’s Team Strengths Discovery and Team Foundations Programmes, plus 1:1 Personal Excellence coaching the work focused on:
Developing individual self-awareness and confidence
Improving peer-to-peer communication and reducing friction
Embedding strengths language into how the team operates
Supporting the leadership team to gain clarity on their own roles, priorities and contribution to the wider business
Providing practical tools for giving feedback, setting direction and working through change
The Impact
The changes reported were both immediate and long-lasting. Individuals described increased clarity in their roles, a more grounded sense of confidence, and a better ability to understand and work with the different personalities across the team.
Team sessions helped open up previously difficult conversations. Meetings became more focused, assumptions were challenged in a constructive way, and team members began to take more ownership of their communication and behaviours.

“Understanding my strengths and the strengths of the others I work with has provided a much more comfortable landscape for us as a team.”
